Philanthropy at Lāhainā Brewing Company: Strengthening Maui, Together

Life in Hawaiʻi teaches us resilience, gratitude, and the power of community. That spirit guides our Philanthropy Pillar and shapes how we support the wellbeing of our islands. Our commitment is simple: uplift the organizations that care for our people, our culture, and our ʻāina.

Introducing The Lōkahi Giving Initiative

Our Lōkahi Pilsner carries a deeper purpose.

Lōkahi means unity, harmony, and balance—the effort of working as one for the collective good. To us, Lōkahi reflects the way we hope to operate: brewing with intention, supporting others with gratitude, and moving forward together. Inspired by that spirit, we created the Lōkahi Giving Initiative.

Through this program:

• Each quarter, we choose a Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit to receive a percentage of Lōkahi Pilsner sales.
• We focus on causes that strengthen community resilience—environment, food security, culture, and families
• Every pour becomes a way for our guests to be part of that shared commitment.

Craft With Purpose

We occasionally brew special beers in collaboration with nonprofit partners—unique releases created to support their mission, spark connection, and generate new ways to give back. 

One of our favorite collaborations to date has been “Raise a Glass for Maui” fundraising initiative in partnership with Hilton Hawaiian Village and Maui United Way. For an entire year, $1 from every glass of Rainbow Pale Ale purchased at the resort is donated to Maui United Way.

Collaborations like these serve as a reminder of what can happen when community and craft intersect.

We’re honored to stand with the nonprofits doing essential work across the islands. Past partners include Maui United Way, Maui Health Foundation, and Maui Humane Society. Whether through events, product donations, or proceeds from special releases, each contribution helps strengthen community from within.

A Commitment Rooted in Gratitude

Our journey has included loss, rebuilding, and growth. Through it all, Hawaiʻi has lifted us up. As we expand from Wailea to Upcountry and beyond, our commitment remains the same: show up for our community with intention, consistency, and heart.

Caring for Community Means Showing Up

On Maui, giving isn’t defined only by donations — it’s the moments when people gather, help one another, and stay connected. We do our best to show up where hands are needed, whether that’s at community events, local drives, or collaborative gatherings hosted in our spaces.

Being present is part of how we honor this place. It’s how relationships are built, how trust grows, and how impact becomes something shared.
